Travel data engineering

Travel data engineering company

Supplier XML, legacy EDI feeds, PMS exports, and GPS pings all arrive in different formats. Most of that data never reaches a decision. COAX Software provides travel data engineering services that turn it into clean, real-time pipelines. Dashboards, pricing, and ML models read the same numbers. The pipelines and the data are yours.

Our travel data engineering services

Multi-supplier data ingestion and normalization

Supplier XML and JSON schemas, legacy EDI, and PMS and CRS feeds rarely agree on format or timestamps. We clean, normalize, and reconcile them into one data structure. Your booking engine and reports then work from the same records.

Real-time pipelines and ETL/ELT architecture

Availability and prices change by the minute. We build fault-tolerant pipelines with Kafka, WebSockets, and webhooks-plus-polling. If a supplier webhook fails, polling catches the gap, so no update gets lost.

Travel database design and development

Bookings, suppliers, rates, and payment plans need a data model built for travel, not a generic template. Our travel data engineering company designs and builds databases on PostgreSQL and Redis that handle multi-supplier carts, installments, and multi-currency payments. You own the schema and the code.

Cross-property hospitality analytics

Room revenue, spa bookings, restaurant POS, and housekeeping data usually live in separate systems. We connect them into one analytics layer that reports RevPAR, TRevPAR, and department-level utilization across every property you run.

Telematics and spatial data ingestion

Buses, shuttles, and rental cars send location pings every few seconds. We ingest GPS and OBD-II streams without data loss and render them with Mapbox. Dispatchers get live tracking, route data, and delay alerts.

CRM and marketing data automation

Bookings should trigger traveler messages without anyone copying data by hand. We build two-way pipelines between your storefront, HubSpot, and Freshchat. Onboarding, support workflows, and campaigns then run on live booking data.

Carbon, tax, and financial reporting engines

Route-level CO₂, carbon offsets, and regional taxes like the UK Carbon Emissions Tax need exact data, not estimates in a spreadsheet. We automate the calculations from route and booking records. The same approach covers installment payments and Cash and Accrual tax reporting.

ML-ready data and predictive analytics

Demand forecasts and pricing models are only as good as the data behind them. We structure your history into ML-ready datasets with Python, PyTorch, and TensorFlow. Your first model trains on data you can trust.

Our booking engine delivery roadmap

Get an estimate

1

Data source audit

We list every feed, database, and spreadsheet your team relies on.

  • Formats, update frequency, and quality issues are mapped per source.
  • Manual steps and duplicate records are flagged.

Deliverable: source inventory, data quality report

2

Data model and database design

The data model comes before any pipeline.

  • Bookings, suppliers, rates, payments, and guests are defined in one schema.
  • Edge cases like installments, cancellations, and multi-currency are planned up front.

Deliverable: data model, database schema spec

3

Pipeline architecture

Each source gets the ingestion pattern it needs.

  • Kafka for high-frequency streams, webhooks-plus-polling for supplier APIs, and batch loads for legacy EDI.
  • Retry and reconciliation logic is designed per source.

Deliverable: pipeline architecture, integration map

4

Build and validate

Pipelines are tested against your real data, not samples.

  • Reconciliation checks compare every load against the source.
  • GDPR and PCI DSS controls are applied to guest and payment data.

Deliverable: tested pipelines, data quality checks

5

Dashboards and ML readiness

Clean data goes where decisions get made.

  • KPI dashboards for revenue, bookings, suppliers, and operations.
  • Datasets structured for forecasting and pricing models.

Deliverable: KPI dashboards, ML-ready datasets

6

Run and scale

Monitoring catches failed loads before your team does.

  • AWS CloudWatch alerts for latency, errors, and data drift.
  • New suppliers and properties are added in phases.

Deliverable: monitoring setup, scaling roadmap

This makes our travel data engineering services reliable

ISO/IEC 27001:2022 and ISO 9001:2015 certified

Travel data includes passport details, card payments, and guest histories. Both certifications cover our entire company, not just one team.

GDPR and PCI DSS built into the data layer

Guest and payment data are masked, access-controlled, and logged from the first pipeline. Compliance isn’t added after launch.

Live travel API integrations

Our engineers maintain data connections through Nezasa, Katanox, HyperGuest, Stripe, and HubSpot. Adding a new supplier extends the pipeline instead of rebuilding it.

AWS-certified architecture

Our AWS-certified Solutions Architects and SysOps Administrators plan infrastructure for launch-day spikes and seasonal peaks before they happen.

GBTA member, rated 4.9 on Clutch

We’re members of the Global Business Travel Association. Clients rate our work 4.9 out of 5 on Clutch, based on verified reviews.

Why choose COAX Software as your travel data engineering company?

Messy feeds, made usable

Unreliable EDI feeds, undocumented supplier APIs, and mismatched timestamps are our usual starting point. We turn them into structured, ML-ready datasets.

Data you own outright

Third-party analytics tools charge more as you grow and keep your data in their format. We build cloud-native pipelines on AWS, PostgreSQL, and Kafka that belong to you, with no ongoing license fees.

Built for non-standard models

Multi-year reservations, installment plans, and multi-supplier carts break generic data models. We’ve shipped them in production for Krytter and MICRM.

Logistics data experience, applied to travel

Our telematics and route-optimization work in logistics fleets carries over directly to passenger transit and hospitality scheduling.

FAQ

COAX Software does. As a travel data engineering company, we design and build databases for booking engines, travel CRMs, and supplier marketplaces, from the data model to production. MICRM’s travel CRM, for example, runs hotel databases, tours, and activities in one unified cart.

COAX Software develops custom databases as part of our travel data engineering services. We build on PostgreSQL and Redis, with schemas shaped around your bookings, suppliers, and payment plans instead of a generic template. You own the database and the code.

COAX Software specializes in it, with travel, transport, and logistics as our primary industries. We’re a travel data engineering company with live integrations through Nezasa, Katanox, HyperGuest, and HubSpot. ISO 9001 and ISO/IEC 27001 certification covers the whole company.

COAX Software can. We built the data layer behind ARRIVAL, which syncs Nezasa trip data with HubSpot workflows and launched with 50,000 registered users. For Krytter, our database handles multi-year reservations, installment schedules, and tax reporting. That’s the kind of track record to ask any travel data engineering company to prove.

COAX Software can. Our travel data engineering services cover the full path: the data model, high-throughput pipelines with Kafka and webhooks-plus-polling, and AWS infrastructure planned for peak load. ARRIVAL’s platform handled 120,000+ pre-launch sessions and now serves 20,000 weekly active users.
